ABOUT THE ROLE

The Head of IT is in charge of defining and implementing the IT strategy within the company. He/She will lead the IT team and will focus on achieving IT operations and cybersecurity excellence.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The main duties are:

  • Plan, deploy and maintain IT systems and operations.
  • Monitor changes in the technology sector to discover ways the company can improve and develop.
  • Analyzes IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs.
  • Changes or adapts the processes necessary for the improvement of the IT department and services provided.
  • Establish and implement the Company’s cybersecurity strategy and lead the cybersecurity transformation projects.
  • Manage and analyze information security incidents and coordinate the appropriate responses.
  • Coordinate and plan internal and external Information Security audits.
  • Lead, build and mentor the IT team to be able to provide excellent service to all the areas in the company.
  • Oversee and manage the IT team by prioritizing tasks and assigning resources to ensure that the department’s actions are aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
  • Develop and oversee IT budget.
  • Audit and develop IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Develop an understanding and a top-level perspective of the company’s operational needs and translate them into actions and projects in software and IT infrastructure.
  • Own, monitor, and improve the company’s data flows and ensure data privacy (GDPR, HIPAA) and cybersecurity compliance.

  

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or similar.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in similar functions in a multinational corporation.

  • Experience with the most relevant industry standards, including ITIL, NIST Cybersecurity Framework and ISO/IEC 27001.
  • Experience with the latest technologies and tools, industry developments and market trends.
  • Experience working on organizational change, with a proven track record of creativity and innovation.

 

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Advanced level of English. Knowledge of German, French, or other languages will be a plus.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Customer-oriented; ability to understand and handle customer expectations.
  • Results-oriented; ability to recognize which results are important and what steps need to be taken to achieve them.
