As we all know, there has been much talk about automation in the manufacturing sector. Most of this automation has been geared toward replacing repetitive tasks, such as sorting of parts, by robots. Some manufacturers and employees in the field have expressed concerns and skepticism toward automation of these tasks. I pose the nay-sayers and skeptics one question. Why the negativity?

The digital transformation process brings with it a lot of uncertainty. How do I know what tasks and changes I need to carry out in my organization to transform it? It’s impossible to know beforehand. How do I know where I will end up in my transformation process once it is finished? It’s impossible to have a clear idea at the beginning.
