In celebration of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, we share an inspiring tale of triumph and achievement within the realm of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
Today, we present a story that exemplifies the spirit of this day, featuring Leyre, Leire, and Itsaso, three remarkable individuals who turned their participation in the Global Training Program into a resounding success, proving that women play a pivotal role in shaping the future of science and technology, and also introducing Naiara Azkarate and Elene Arando who are gearing up to join the UK office, ready to follow in the footsteps of their colleagues.
This program offers young individuals under the age of 30 a unique opportunity for internationalization, allowing them to undergo a year of immersive learning and development in international companies. Facilitated by various intermediaries, including AFM in our case, these scholarships have become a vital avenue for acquiring and nurturing talent.
Leire Olaeta, Leyre Barcina and Itsaso Altuna emerged as the stars of the show. Their dedication, combined with the warm welcome and support from their colleagues, made the experience fruitful. The three girls became Lantekers in 2024, marking a triumphant end to an incredible journey.
For the next season, Naiara Azkarate and Elene Arando will follow the footsepts of their colleagues. The success of this experience fuels the hope for future triumphs.
