Lantek established its presence in South Korea in 2001 to support one of Asia’s most advanced manufacturing markets. Since then, the company has worked closely with sheet metal manufacturers, machine builders, and industrial suppliers, providing CAD/CAM, MES, and integrated production management solutions adapted to highly demanding production environments.
History
The development of the sheet metal and metal processing industry in South Korea is closely linked to the country’s rapid industrialization during the second half of the 20th century. Sectors such as shipbuilding, automotive, electronics, and heavy industry drove strong demand for advanced metal fabrication technologies and highly efficient production systems.
Large industrial groups such as Hyundai, Samsung, and POSCO helped position the country as a global manufacturing leader, accelerating investment in CNC technologies, automation, laser cutting, and precision engineering.

Today, South Korea has one of the most technologically advanced manufacturing sectors in the world. Sheet metal manufacturers operate in highly competitive industries where precision, speed, and production efficiency are critical requirements.
