MACHINE TOOL TECHNOLOGIES

Lantek is synonymous with specialized software that controls the cutting of sheet metal in any of its forms and technologies.

MACHINE TOOL TECHNOLOGIES

Wide range of CAD/CAM/CAE software ready to be used in different machines and to assign and manage the ideal machine, combining technology and the status of the workload. It’s now possible to manufacture with quality, precision and in a more economic way, respecting delivery deadlines.

CUTTING TECHNOLOGIES:

Cutting with water jet: a mechanical process which allows you to cut any material by applying a high-speed jet of water that gives the desired result.

Cutting with laser: a thermal cutting process that consists in aiming a high-energy beam of concentrated light at the part of the material that you want to treat.

Cutting with CO2 laser: generally speaking, laser has a more accurate cutting capacity. Especially with thin layers and when machining small orifices. CO2 is suitable for thicknesses of between 5mm and 30mm.

Fiber laser: fiber laser is proven to be a technology that offers the speed and quality of CO2 laser cutting, but for thicknesses below 5 mm and, in addition to this, it is more economic and efficient from an energy standpoint. Subsequently, investment, maintenance and operational costs are less. A

Plasma: technique based on raising the temperature of the material to be cut in a very localized way and over 20,000 °C, taking the gas used to the forth state of matter, plasma, status at which electrons dissociate from the atom and the gas is ionized (it becomes a conductor).

Oxycut: oxidation cutting technique using a flame. This flame is produced from the combustion between a combustible gas (propane, hydrogen or acetylene) and an oxidizing gas, normally oxygen.

Punching: a mechanical operation that consists in perforating (closed cutting) a metal sheet by cutting or forming it without chip removal.

Shearing: cuttingoperation of a metal sheet along a straight line between two cutting edges. It is typically used to divide large sheets into smaller sections for post-pressing operations.

Boilerworks: is a professional specialty of mechanical manufacturing with the main function of constructing deposits suitable for storing and transporting solids in the form of grains or aggregates, liquids and gas; as well as all types of naval construction and metal structures.

How and why Lantek:

  • Up to 80% less downtime caused by collisions: cutting-edge technologies to reduce technological stoppages substantially reducing downtime caused by collisions of the laser head
  • Continual optimization and new software configurations for cutting and punching sheet metal, profiles and tubes
  • Run the new ICA algorithm for preventing collisions during machining with cutting machines, enabling smart fasteners
  • Improved usability of functions related with the fasteners (or micro-cuts): greater precision in the final width and accurate simulation
  • Operations in real time
  • New zig-zag technique to scrap contours that you don’t want to fasten to the sheet metal: guaranteed efficiency in the falling of nuggets
  • Automatic marking (in cutting machines) of scraps and easy identification according to parameters. Help with production management in the workshop
  • Savings in material, reduction in downtime, minimization of  risks
  • Incorporate the operative of new automated machines for loading and unloading parts, mechanically managing the stands and trays
  • Cut different shapes with the possibility of modifying the contours while producing using offline CAD/CAM programming systems.
