ABOUT THE ROLE

Directly reporting to the Chief Operating Officer at Headquarters, the Operations Manager will manage Lantek’s day-to-day technical activity while providing excellent management of technical staff and customer service.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The main duties are:

  • Direct a technical team.
  • People Management: Full hierarchical and management responsibility for the Operations team comprising:
    • Recruitment, development, training, appraisals, disciplinary, and coaching.
    • Set, agree, and drive KPIs within the Operations team by Lantek standards.
  • Perform effective and efficient resource planning and delivery.
  • Manage resources (allocation, planning short and medium-term, prioritization).
  • Coordinate with local Sales and Finance responsible persons to achieve business goals.
  • Secure the service level at agreed standards.
  • Ensure project goals achievement together with local Project Managers and coordinate with Global Project Office.
  • Replace team members when necessary to maintain the level of service.
  • Ensure health and safety compliance as per standards under local law.

  

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Degree in technical field (Science, Technology, Engineering, …).
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in an Operations Management role, preferably in the software industry. A plus in industrial software.
  • Experience as a field technician installing, training, and supporting software installations.

  

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Advanced level of English. Knowledge of German, French, or other languages will be a plus.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Good interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Good communication and public speaking skills.
  • Strong customer and results orientation and problem-solving skills.
