SHEET METAL NESTING

Conveniently group together similar types of parts using new applied mathematical models and algorithms that make modern nesting possible, helping to increase productive efficiency.

SHEET METAL NESTING

We have the "nesting of the future" for smarter manufacturing, resulting in unprecedented savings in terms of material, time and the maximization of machines.

Definitions:

Forescrap: optimization and utilization of leftover metal or scrap that is generated from the waste. These leftovers can be reused implying significant monetary value in terms of material saving.

Nesting: in this process, cutting patterns are established in order to minimize the waste of raw material. This can be manual or automatic, where the programmer uses software to determine the position of each part within the sheet of raw material.

How and why Lantek::

  • Innovative algorithms for destroying holes, significantly improving execution times in nestings
  • Nesting optimization module (NOS) that allows raw material to be exploited with an increase of between 12 and 15%
  • Optimization of areas of material that were previously considered scrap, achieving improvements in the optimization of bars of over 5% in the cutting of tubes
    • More agile and intelligent nesting processes to anticipate and avoid possible deformations or collisions in the cutting process
    • Advanced nesting algorithms and machining strategies with specific tools for completing complex boilerwork intersections
    • Nesting by kits: the possibility of nesting for cutting in one single process for all of the necessary parts for one product without having to wait to have the parts by phases
    • logical interface that adapts to the production requirements and that allows the parameters to be verified on one single panel
    • Maximum exploitation of material, organizing the parts in the most efficient way possible in the machine
    • Efficient response to more complex situations for the calculation of machining and the optimization of material consumption
    • Maximum machine efficiency
    • The possibility of switching and alternating between automatic and manual nesting, according to the specific production requirements
